Our afterschool programming will begin in October and will remain on Wednesdays and Thursdays from 3:30 – 5:30. A full schedule for the month of October will be available to pick up at the circulation desk soon. This gives our Youth Librarian and students a change to get back on a regular schedule and settle into a new school year before programming begins. For children who would like to participate in the program, they must be 9 years old to be here at the library by themselves. If they are coming to us from KES, we will need a signed registration form on or before Friday, September 13.
We have a new rule this year: No gaming on the computers after school. If a student needs the Internet to complete an assignment, that’s fine. Library time is for homework, creative projects, and being with friends. We have plenty of board games, card games, passive programming and books to keep everyone happy and busy until time for pick up.
