Along with the state Department of Libraries, we are following the state Dept. of Health advisories. If the outbreak gets severe in Vermont, we expect they will mandate closings of public buildings. Until such time (if it happens), we are doing what we can in keeping with recommendations for public buildings:
We are disinfecting all commonly touched surfaces daily (doors / handles, rails, buttons, computer keyboards & mice, etc.);
We are disinfecting children’s toys / materials used in programming;
We have temporarily retired all fuzzy / stuffed animals;
We are encouraging hand washing and are providing extra hand sanitizer locations;
All programs scheduled will be held and we will continue to add programs for all ages until we hear differently from the Vermont State Department of Health.
If you are sick and in need of books or movies, give us a call and we will do our best to make things available to you. We can deliver items to your car if you want to come by and not come in the building. We can also see if we can work together to make home deliveries possible. There is no worry over fines as long as the items come back to the library.
